Hi Jonathan,

I just came across this piece while searching for PSP phone articles, and I have to admit that while I did openly respond to my critics regarding the PSP Phone story, the reason I didn't respond to the complaints on the site personally is because my editor issued a full editorial reply on the site. He has the power to openly make statements about our work on the site while I, on the other hand, do not.

The alternative was to respond personally on Twitter. I find it a tad odd that you would suggest I didn't have any balls, seeing as very few journalists would do what I did and actively reply to the concerns of our readership. NowGamer is all about reacting with the gaming community online. The NowGamer team collectively has a Twitter following of 25,000 followers; followers, not bots, and we actively chat with them on a daily basis.

I find it hard to believe that IGN, Gamespot or similar sites would have openly engaged with their readerships the same way had the shoe been on the other foot. Hence, I believe I did everything in my power to actively respond to our reader's concerns. I'm not in the business of actively clashing with our readers, as to be honest, that doesn't win you any favours.

I sincerely do appreciate that you covered this issue in a balanced light though, it's not everyday you find an online blog or site that refrains from knee-jerk reactions. I do appreciate all feedback for my work and I hope you visit NowGamer again soon.

All the best,

Dave Cook
