In October 2010, I redesigned the website of Lincoln student paper ‘The Linc’, to bring it up to date and give it a fresh, modern look.
For readers, the website is a complete visual overhaul that looks more modern and is much easier to navigate. The colour coded navigation matches style elements of The Linc’s newspaper and magazine, and adds enough colour to keep the page looking interesting – and with mouseover menus to keep the site looking clean. The goal was to create a news site that was actually pleasing to look at.

The website takes full advantage of new WordPress features to make it easy to customise sidebars and menus to keep the content dynamic – and the multiple sizes of thumbnails are automatically generated across the site and for external uses.
